Product Spotlight: Rears Manufacturing Sanitation Mower
Here at Belkorp Ag, we strive to equip our customers with every tool and service they need to be successful. We don’t think it’s enough just to get the job done. We want to make sure producers have the tools to get the job done quickly and efficiently. We want to make sure they have what it takes to get the job done right. We want to go above and beyond for them so that they can go above and beyond in the field.
When it comes to orchard and vineyard operations, we have specialized equipment that’s designed to be heavy duty, durable, serviceable and ground-breaking. This month, we want to highlight a product from our Rears Manufacturing line: the Rears Pak Flail Sanitation Mower. Read on to learn more about some of the features of this top-notch product.
This Sanitation Mower is Rears’ solution to post-harvest material processing. Leaving behind mummy nuts and debris can be a frustrating and damaging part of the harvest process. The Sanitation Mower offers features that can break down mummies, leaves and brush left in the rows.
The Rears Sanitation Flail is all about destroying post-harvest material efficiently. All the debris is processed right in the row where it was collected. The flailing fan-shaped knives work to grind up the material through a series of interference channels and shear bars. Thanks to the rear recycling door, the shredding chamber traps material in the blade path so that it can be repeatedly processed.
The flailing drum has a knife tip speed of 11,400FPM. That means each blade passes through the shredding channels and fixturing 28 times per second. Pretty impressive, right? We think so too.
You can get the Rears Sanitation Flail on its own or coupled with a mechanical berm blower for combined processing. The berm blower can clear tree center material into the next unprocessed row. You can use it along with the flail, or disconnect it to use the flail on its own.
